Today started with us waking up early and biking to the Punanga Nui markets in Avarua where we started with a drink (I ordered a hangover cure juice, don’t ask why) and then we bought lunch (I got a massive BBQ plate from “Island grillz” and it was delicious) and then Nate and I ordered a shaved ice drink each and some long needed sunglasses (Unfortunately it’s not a well-known brand so I can’t really show them off, but then again who would I show?) and then we decided go around the island to the marine reserve.
After a little bit of snorkelling we stumbled (How I stumbled while swimming is still a question to be answered) across a massive wall of fish ranging from small bait fish to big tunas I was like “ah yeah no thanks I don’t wanna drown” and decided to turn around before I startled all the fish into a stampede (can that happen underwater?) anyway after that we headed home but we stopped off for a ice cream at Wigmores (I decided to get rum and raisin and to be honest it was fine aside from the raisins) then we headed to “Villi’s noisy rooster” (Rarotonga’s very own KFC) next to KAPS but when we arrived we found that they didn’t have a eftpos machine and we didn’t have any cash so we sort of had to flush that idea down the toilet, instead we went to KAPS but their eftpos machine wasn’t working so we had to go home and use whatever we had in the cupboards.
