Day 5 Rarotonga

Today started with me waking up to an empty house because everyone else had ditched to go to the café up the road.

After everyone had got back we decided to go into town for a sim card for mum. When we arrived in town we had a bit of trouble finding the place. When we went into the store mum lined up to the counter to get a sim and to post a letter to my Nana and my great Nana so while we waited Nate and Tom found a TV that was playing “Tom & Jerry” while I was checking out a phone until I noticed that a cord was sticking out of the stand and I saw where it should be plugged in so I thought why don’t I help them out and plug it back in, wrong move, as soon as I plugged it back in I must have triggered some sort of sensor because the stand started to blearing at me, so as the lady from the counter was fussing over a remote everyone else was staring at me so I was happy when mum was ready to leave. The next place we went to was called “Trader Jacks” where we bought two delicious snack pizzas and two bowls of chips which we utterly demolished as soon as it was set on the table. After we had had our fill we decided to go look for a library and as we were walking Nate and I were talking avidly paint ball which meant that we didn’t really care when we found that it was closed. After that failed expedition we decided to get an ice cream from the local supermarket called “Foodland” which to our enormous surprise had bigger ice creams then at “Wigmores” and they only costed $2 dollars, $2 dollars I tell you which I find outrageously cheap compared to most ice cream places. After the ice cream our group split into two groups as mum decided she would bike around the island by herself. Once mum got home we made a short trip to the store where we got some supplies and then we were able to enjoy marks delicious toasted sandwiches that were toasted in a frying pan with olive oil just the way I like them.
