Day 19 Rarotonga

Today started with me waking up early and walking sleepily to the cupboard and finding that all the food had been eaten which meant that I had to wait for the parents to wake up and while I was waiting I couldn’t help but wish that I hadn’t woken up early.

After a while of sitting around doing nothing Kura called round with the rest of the fruits (last night there had been too many to carry) which was awesome and delicious and while she was there she showed us what parts of the coconut tree you could eat aside from the coconut. After a while we went to the “hidden spirit café” which is just past “Charlies restaurant and bar”. When we arrived a sign outside proclaimed that they had the best cheesecake on the island which seemed to excite the interest of the rest of the crew. After finishing our lunch (I got a chicken island sandwich) the cheesecake arrived and everyone grabbed a fork and dug in (Don’t ask me why it was forks coz I don’t know) and boy was it delicious. After we jumped on the bikes (Tom had taken that saying too seriously) we headed to fruits of Rarotonga. When we arrived Tom instantly found a half-built sandcastle but he didn’t know where to start to finish it. After Nate and I wondered around for a bit we decided to do some climbing coconut tree races which was extremely fun an till it started to become painful to slid down and after a while we decided to see who was the fastest and surprisingly (Nates a freaken monkey sometimes) I won with a score of 11.43 second up and down. After we got home Mark went to villi’s noisy rooster and bought the biggest pack they had for us to share and honestly it was way better than KFC or Macca’s (Taste factor not health factor which I think they all tie with I think).
