Today we are going ice skating at a rink next to the natural history museum which is going to be fun (then after we’ll check out the museum itself coz its free).
After taking the tube to the natural history museum we decided to do that first coz the next ice skating session wasn’t for an hour. After checking out the dino’s and sea animals we realised that it was nearly time so we hopped back out to the ice rink to put on our boots. Once we went out onto the ice I couldn’t stop laughing because no matter how hard Nate tried he couldn’t stand up for long without falling (I stopped laughing when I realised with a sore arm that it wasn’t just Nate that couldn’t stand up). After skating round the rink once (it was a circle with a Christmas tree in the middle) I made the interesting discovery that I didn’t actually know how to stop, so anyway directly in front of me is this family and I’m barreling toward them with flapping arms (didn’t help in the slightest) but luckily I didn’t hit them although I did go for a slide across the ice on my bruised bum. At the end I still hadn’t figured out how to stop efficiently but I was learning to go faster (After what had happened I didn’t know if that was the smartest idea but I couldn’t stop my self from trying) and I was getting slightly better at turning (a crucial part of the Not-gonna-crash guide) which was cool. After that we wandered around town until we spotted Harrods (or Farmers for millionaires as Mark put it) and when we entered the first thing Nate and I wanted to find was the technology level to check out what top level stuff they had in store. After Nate and I found exactly what we wanted with mutual agreement we headed towards Starbucks for a coffee. After I had finished my almond Hot chocolate (I was the last one at the table you see) we went back down into the underground tube labyrinth until we miraculously appeared at the correct exit and then we walked the short distance to our apartment. After a mixed dinner we hit the beds to prepare for moving apartment tomorrow.
